Addressing Health and Food Security Challenges
Food & Friends improves the lives and health of people with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other serious illnesses that limit their ability to provide nourishment for themselves. Qlarant Foundation funds support the Specialized Nutrition Services (SNS) program providing a uniquely multifaceted service that seeks to address health and food security challenges faced by residents in the greater DC metro area. SNS consists of two meal services, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition education—all of which help clients manage their health and avoid the costly side effects of illness.
