Qlarant Foundation continues support for the University Legal Services Jail and Prison Advocacy Project (JPAP) to continue re-entry work to promote access to community-based health care and mental health care for District of Columbia residents with mental illness who have been incarcerated in Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities. The program increases access to health care and improves the quality of health care and other services for both the individuals and the community. Housing has been added to the program, which enables participants to take advantage of all health care services by bringing stability and additional support to those who have been chronically homeless.
