The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Maryland strives to improve the quality of life for individuals with mental illness and their families across Maryland, including all socioeconomic, race, ethnic, gender, and other statuses. Qlarant Foundation is providing funding for the Peer Support and Education for People Affected by Mental Illness Program. The program also includes special workshops and initiatives for community and service providers who interact with families affected by mental illness as well as a range of written and internet-based resource materials to link individuals to appropriate resources in their local communities.
