Midgett S. Parker, Jr., Esq.
Midgett Parker has been practicing law in Maryland for 35 years. After passing the bar, he joined the law firm of Fossett & Brugger. In 1997, he joined and became a partner in the law firm of Linowes and Blocher, LLP where he remained for 22 years and was a member of the Land Use/Zoning Practice Group. It was at both of these private law firms where he refined his legal acumen in commercial real estate matters in Maryland. In February of 2020, he opened the Law Office of Midgett S. Parker, PA.
Mr. Parker has won numerous land use cases before local zoning officers, boards, elected officials, and has consulted with officials at all levels of government on matters ranging from tax legislation to affordable housing and land use regulations. He has developed a niche representing houses of worship and non-profit entities in all aspects of their real estate and governance interests. In addition to real estate issues, he counsels clients on a broad range of issues from regulatory compliance to contract negotiations, and internal operations.
Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Parker spent eight years as a combat arms officer in the United States Army primarily in Air Defense Artillery. During that time, he commanded an Improved HAWK missile battery of 150 soldiers in Germany.
He is a graduate of the University of Maryland Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate and Morehouse College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Political Science and Urban Planning.
Outside his legal practice, Mr. Parker is an ordained minister and actively involved in all aspects of Community Baptist Church of Barclay located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Mr. Parker has served on numerous non-profit boards and commissions and is viewed as a highly effective communicator who thrives in positions of leadership.
