The National Content Developer supported the Department of Health and Human Servicesā Partnership for Patients by developing and adapting material and methods to support hospitals in meeting the initiativesā goal of reducing preventable harm in hospitals by 40%.Ā The NCD contractor produced or identified training materials, consulting methods, implementation management and support to CMS and to hospital engagement contractors (āHECsā) in accomplishing this goal.Ā The NCD contractor supported HECs to hire trainers and consultants to staff conferences and meetings, and supported HEC efforts to visit and directly assist hospitals in reducing harm to patients.Ā The NCD contactor directly operated a national program of training done through scalable distance learning methods such as webinars, video conferences, dissemination of research and training materials directly to hospitals, etc.
Qlarant performed the following activities:
- Prepared content for status updates and reports; participate in project team meetings with National Content Developer team;
- Provided support to topic specific affinity groups, coordinating speakers, preparing content and identifying and sharing resources for groups;
- Provided affinity group specific content for web-based training portal;
- Serviced and supported the HENs, affinity groups, and key partners on their true needs and on Partnership goals;
- Provided extensive real-time support to affinity groups on their programs of work; actively teaming with the federal, non-federal, public and private partners on the work of the affinity groups;
- Responded to ad hoc requests and additional support needs of the affinity groups.
